Lone Star Shield Pest Control is a local, TDA-registered pest control company serving Dallas–Fort Worth. We built the company around three things most competitors skip: genuine rodent depth, published pricing, and honesty about what you're actually dealing with — including telling you when you don't need a treatment.
Why we started
Lone Star Shield was started by licensed local technicians who had spent years inside the DFW pest control industry and grew tired of how it treats homeowners. Too many companies sell recurring contracts and generic spraying without ever identifying the pest properly or sealing the entry points — so the problem keeps coming back. We set out to do the opposite: inspect down to the species, treat the source instead of the symptom, and publish our prices so you can budget before you ever pick up the phone. That principle still runs everything we do today.
What makes us different
- Rodent depth. We identify roof rats vs Norway rats vs mice and seal entry points — including the weep holes most plans ignore — rather than just leaving bait.
- Transparent pricing. Real numbers published openly, itemized quotes before any work, no surprise add-ons.
- Local DFW knowledge. We know a 1950s Oak Cliff foundation behaves differently than a new-build Frisco slab, and we treat accordingly.
- Honesty first. We'll tell you when a single trap will do, and when it won't. We won't sell you treatment you don't need.
Licensed & accountable
We're registered through the Texas Department of Agriculture's Structural Pest Control Service, and every technician is licensed — see licensing & certifications. Texas law requires operators to provide a product list on request; we name active ingredients without being asked. Meet the people who'll be at your home on our team page.
Our commitment
We publish a great deal of genuinely useful information on this site — how to tell a roof rat from a Norway rat, how rodents get into brick homes, what pest control actually costs in Dallas — because informed customers make better decisions, and because we'd rather earn your trust than pressure you into a contract. Read our reviews, browse the learning center, or book a free inspection.
